Schwerin Takes Commanding First Step in Women’s Volleyball Finals
SSC Palmberg Schwerin opened the Women’s Volleyball Bundesliga PlayOff Finals with a 3-0 win over Dresdner SC. Though the sets were close, Schwerin held firm under pressure with strong performances from Leana Grozer—named MVP—and Elles Dambrink. Schwerin edged out Dresden in the first two sets 25:23 and 26:24, then sealed the win 25:22 in the third.
The series now heads to Dresden for game two on Wednesday in the Margon Arena.
