The Berlin Recycling Volleys kicked off the 2025 Playoff Finals in style, sweeping SVG Lüneburg 3-0 (25:17, 25:21, 25:19) in front of 6,552 roaring fans at Max-Schmeling-Halle. Powered by MVP Moritz Reichert, the defending champs turned the opener into a real birthday party for sponsor Berlin Recycling’s 25th anniversary.
Fresh after a two-week break, Berlin showed no signs of rust, dominating with strong serves, sharp defense, and smart plays. Even though Lüneburg fought hard, especially in the second set, the Volleys always had an answer.
Now all eyes are on Thursday’s Game 2 at LKH Arena.
