by WoV

Dresdner SC remained invincible even after five rounds of Bundesliga after beating VC Wiesbaden by 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 28-26).

Visiting team, as well in in the top of the table, was a great rival to a favorite, having solved first set in its favor and failing a chance to win the fourth set and extend the match to a tie-break.

Wiesbaden in this period of the match led on the second technical timeout with 16-12. However, the more experienced team of Dresdner by the end of the set has reversed the result with a great game of Kristina Mikhailenko (16 points).

Schweriner SC was on the verge of its first defeat in the German championship. It was down 2-0 in sets, as a host, against Allianz MTV Stuttgart and plus, in the remaining sets chased the score.

In the third set, Stuttgart had, at the first technical timeout, a three point lead (8-5), in the fourth had the advantage on both technical timeouts (8-6, 16-13), while in tie-break led by 5-3.

Schweriner’s players had an incredible mental strength and led by a brilliant Lousiane Souza Ziegler (25 points) celebrated victory at the end.
