Novara – Schweriner
German club already caused upset by defeating the leader of Italian championship in the first leg with 3-1.
Probably everybody in Schweriner knew that Novara, a sovereign top spot holder in Serie A1, won’t give up in rematch and it was like that.
Italian team won the first and second set but suddenly stopped. Schweriner claimed the third, but Novara still had the chance to gain fourth and reach Golden Set.
Home team just wanted to qualify for the semi-final more. It equaled to 2-2 in sets and answered to the question which team will go among the best four.
Tie-break was only a formality…
Both teams had 5 players with double digits! Lousiane Souza Ziegler had 15 for Schweriner. Katarina Barun scored 20 in Novara.
