The Italian coach has said that he counts on 26 players during this year. The most important thing for Giani and the fans of German national team is that Gyorgy Grozer has accepted to return, after announcing last year his retirement.
“Giani asked me If I could help with the World Cup qualification, saying that this competition is very important for the future. After consulting my wife and family I have decided to join the preparation that will take place near Moers. It’s an honour to wear a jersey of national team again,” says Grozer, former member of Chinese Shanghai, with whom he won the championship title a few weeks ago.
“The World Cup qualification is at the top of the list of priorities, followed then by World League competition,” says Giani.
These are the players that have been called for the international duty.
Michael Andrei, Tim Broshog (SWD powervolleys Duren), Tobias Krick, Moritz Reichert, Jan Zimmermann (United Volleys Rhein-Main), Markus Steuerwald, Georg Klein, Daniel Malescha, David Sossenheimer, Jakob Gunthor, Julian Zenger (VfB Friedrichshafen), Ruben Schott (BR Volleys), Tom Strohbach, Ferdinand Tille (TSV Herrsching), Moritz Karlitzek (TV Rottenburg), Adam Kocian (SVG Luneburg), Tim Stohr (TV Ingersoll Bühl), Christian Fromm, Simon Hirsch (Monza/ITA), Denys Kaliberda (Civitanova/ITA), Marcus Bohme (Lubin/POL), Lukas Kampa (Wegiel/POL), Jochen Schops (Rzeszow/POL), Georg Grozer (Al Arabi/QAT), Philipp Collin (Tours/FRA), Leonhard Tille (Waldviertel/AUT)
