Cucine Lube Civitanova were victorious in the 13th round of the 2019/20 Italian Men’s Volleyball Championship regular season.

From the first to 13th round in only a few days. But there was a reason. Due to Cucine Lube Civitanova’s participation in the 2019 FIVB Club World Championship, their SuperLega Credem Banca match against Globo Banca Popolare del Frusinate Sora that was to take place on December 22, has been played tonight. The titleholders prevailed in straight sets but only after overcoming scare of losing the second and third set: 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-23).

Lube head coach De Giorgi decided to give a day off to Juantorena and Simón, while D’Hulst returned home to Belgium for family reasons. Yoandy Leal drove Lube to a win with 15 points through 75% effectiveness in attack (12/16). Fabio Balaso was amazing in defense with 92% reception (13 digs, 38% perfect). Belarussian Radzivon Miskevich scored 16 points for Sora.
