Thus, the team coached by Belgian Vital Heynen took over the lead from Lube who claimed it, practically, from the beginning of the regular season, tying with them at 45 points but having one more match played.
Itas Trentino downed direct contenders for the 4th place in the charts, Allianz Milano, by a 3-1 and went 6 points ahead of them.
