The 2020/21 Del Monte Coppa Italia SuperLega started with the eight-finals in which eight teams are divided into two pools of four teams each.

A derby of Round 1 was in Pool A, in which Allianz Milano swept NBV Verona: 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-17). The winning side had as many as four players in double digits, which doesn’t happen often in a match that ended in three sets. The quartet was led by Canadian Stephen Maar (14 points). Frenchman Stéphen Boyer scored 13 points for Verona.

After more than two hours of a play (2:18), Kioene Padova defeated Consar Ravenna by a 3-2. The match was played within Pool B.
