Serbian coach Kovač took over the bench of the SuperLega side Top Volley.
A 53-year-old expert, who was elected 2019 Men’s Team Coach of the Year by the CEV, which was the year in which he commanded Serbia National Team to win the trophy in the continental championship, replaced Lorenzo Tubertini. Kovač also had a successful playing career, claiming a gold medal in the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
The last club in which he worked as a head coach before coming to Top Volley was Poland’s Jastrzębski Węgiel.
