ITA W: Monza end Novara’s huge streak and extend their own to 11 games

In the big match of the 2020/21 Italian Women’s Volleyball Championship, Saugella Monza celebrated the win against Igor Gorgonzola Novara.

In a delayed match of the 17th round of the 2020/21 Italian Women’s Lega Pallavolo Serie A Femminile regular season, third-placed Monza overpowered vice-leaders Novara in straight sets, partially 25-23, 25-23, and 25-22, hammering the 11th consecutive success in the competition. Furthermore, the team commanded by Marco Gaspari broke the rival’s 12-game winning streak (9 in the league) and remained in the race for second place in the charts (-7 in relation to Novara).

Anna Danesi top-scored Monza with 14 points, including 5 blocks.
