The vice-champions Lokomotiv recorded the 6th consecutive win in the 2020/21 Russian Women’s Superliga Parimatch regular season, two of which against the same rivals in just two days – the bronze medalists Uralochka-NTMK.
Both duels of the CEV Champions League participants were held at Lokomotiv’s home ground in Kaliningrad and both were delayed matches. Yesterday, in Round 4, the team coached by Andrey Voronkov prevailed by a 3-1 while today, in Round 17, they achieved a straight-set win – that pushed them to top four in the charts – in which Irina Voronkova tallied 18 points and Tatyana Ezhak had 70 % reception (27 digs, 2 errors; 48 % excellent).
