“I think we played very well in the first set. This was one of the best [sets] we played this year in the World League. After that we didn’t play so good, because Bulgaria played better, but I want to remember the third set when we were in a difficult moment and we played, not the best volleyball, but we played with very big hearts in the most difficult moment of the match. I am very proud of this because you cannot practice this in training.”
After their loss to Italy, Bulgarian star Tsvetan Sokolov, said: “We knew that the match against Italy would be really difficult for us, we didn’t play well in the first set but then I think we played good volleyball. They played better in defense and we made some mistakes and unfortunately this time we couldn’t reach the victory. Now we have to wait for tomorrow result to find out if we can qualify for Final Four, I hope we can make it.”
