Last year he had been playing in Paris, now recovered from a serious injury which occurred in November 2012. During the fourth set of the last season’s match ParisNantes, Krolis suffered the rupture of the Achilles tendon (the same injury that Josè Matheus is suffering from, at the moment), but the Dutch seems to be fully recovered from the injury.

The powerful “oranje” player will be in Matera a few days, to be submitted to medical examination and some tests by the coaching staff.

Matera is considering a number of options on the foreign market to overcome the problem of withdrawn from the team of Brazilian opposite Alexsandro Dyego Do Nascimento Oliveira due to family reasons.

The solution of Krolis, if there are conditions for completing of the agreement, would be ideal for Matera, given the overall quality of the player which can be considered excellent.

Born in 1984, 1.96 m tall, powerful and equipped with a devastating service, the Dutch opposite played in the last 2 seasons in the French top division in Nantes and Paris, formerly in the Netherlands and Belgium.

He is in the member of the national team of the Netherlands since 2008, and statistics show that he was consistently top scorer while playing in Nantes in the French Pro A Ligue 2011/12.

Coaching staff and the player will decide by mutual agreement if he will participate in the first friendly of the season against the Serie A1 team, Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia.
