Megabox Vallefoglia began building the roster that will face rivals in the next season’s Italian women’s volleyball Championship by signing the big name of world volleyball.
The pillar of the Russia National Team, Tatyana Kosheleva, is the new member of an ambitious project of Megabox, who in just one year of existence managed to earn a promotion to Serie A. It will be a return of a 32-year-old outside hitter to Italy after two years (Savino Del Bene Scandicci, half of 2018/19).
Kosheleva is a world volleyball star. She was named MVP of the CEV European Championship twice (2013 and 2015) which she won with ‘Zbornaya’. She was also named Best Spiker in the 2010 FIVB World Championship (Russia took gold). On a club level, Kosheleva won three Russian Championships, five Russian Cups, two CEV Cups, and one FIVB Club World Championship.
Rumors say that the next acquisition of Megabox is to be American opposite hitter Jordan Thompson (last season in Eczacıbaşı VitrA, Turkey).
