The new year has brought some good news for the fans of Vero Volley Monza.
The Italian team has gotten significant reinforcement from the USA. They have signed the 207cm tall middle blocker, NCAA champion with Wisconsin, Dana Rettke.
She has signed a contract until the end of the season.
The new Monza player, which will be available to the head coach Marco Gaspari as soon as the bureaucratic procedures allow it, has been snatched from unbridled competition at an international level.
“I can’t wait to get to Italy for my first pro experience. I’ve been to the Milan area in the past and I have to say it’s a beautiful place that I can now consider my new home. Vero Volley Monza is a great club. I will try to pursue the same goals as my new team with great enthusiasm. I think that the city, the teammates, the team and all the staff are very well suited to my first season in Europe,” says Rettke.
