Sir Safety Susa Perugia surpassed Allianz Milano in three sets in Round 6 of the 2022–23 SuperLega Credem Banca and earned their sixth maximum victory in the competition in as many games. At the end of the match, the ‘Block Devils’ got a standing ovation from the fans in their PalaBarton as they brought in the Super Cup trophy, won five days ago, on the court during a light show. Perugia confirmed themselves as SuperLega leaders, even though they have played one match fewer than their main title contenders, Cucine Lube Civitanova and Itas Trentino.

With León and Russo at rest, the Luxembourgish-Italian opposite, Kamil Rychlicki, knocked down 17 points to highlight the winning side.

The Italian champions, Lube, put the defeat in the Super Cup, behind them. After a very risky play, in which they lost the opening set to WithU Verona, Lube turned the match around and secured three points that were as difficult to collect as they were precious for the ranking. Gianlorenzo Blengini’s guys broke their own losing streak of two games.

Puerto Rican-American Gabriel García ‘Gabi’ showed a strong performance, scoring 26 points (5 aces). Cuban Marlon Yant made 71% reception (17 digs, 2 errors, 24% perfect).

Itas Trentino resumed their run. By beating Vero Volley Monza 3-0, they achieved the third triumph in a row. Three-match losing streak of Valsa Group Modena is over as they downed Top Volley Cisterna in straight sets.
