In the last three matches, Warszawa showed huge potential, which was hidden at the start of the 2022-23 PlusLiga. However, in Round 8, the team from the Polish capital had to surrender to the titleholders ZAKSA, losing in four sets, after which their three-game winning streak came to the conclusion. Was this the sign of the end of the crisis of the last season’s dominators, who suffered three defeats in the first seven matches? We’ll find out next weekend.

Łukasz Kaczmarek top-scored for ZAKSA with 18 points. German Linus Weber shone for Warszawa with 27 points. Piotr Nowakowski had 5 blocks.

In the last match of the round, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie prevailed over BBTS Bielsko-Biała. Michał Winiarski’s guys are doing well this season, and now they moved up to the third place. The newcomers, on the other hand, after the last defeat, are in the last place in the classification.

Dawid Konarski was Aluron’s top scorer with 15 points (4 aces). American opposite of Bielsko-Biała, Jake Hanes, scored a match-high 18 points.
