As women’s teams wrap up their preparations and head into the competitive phase, men’s club teams are gearing up for their final preseason challenges. One of the highlights is the inaugural Jesi Volley Cup, set to be held at PalaTriccoli in Jesi on October 14 and 15. The venue, which accommodates over 4,000 spectators, will play host to a thrilling series of matches.
Cucine Lube Civitanova will face off against Olympiakos Piraeus, the champions of the 2022/23 Greek division and winners of the Challenge Cup 2023, in the second semifinal on October 14. The day kicks off with the first semifinal between Allianz Milano and Rana Verona, two teams recognized for their outstanding performances in the previous SuperLega season.
On Sunday, October 15, fans will be treated to the match for 3rd place and the grand finale to determine the champions.
During a recent press conference at Palazzo Pianetti in Jesi, Beppe Cormio, the general manager of Lube Volley, couldn’t contain his excitement. “We’re set to see top-tier international athletes in action. Gathering such talent is no small feat, and this event promises high-level competition,” he remarked. “This tournament presents a valuable opportunity for teams like Lube to gauge their readiness ahead of the SuperLega Credem Banca season.”
