Vero Volley Milano began their season on a high note with a commanding 3-0 victory against Igor Gorgonzola Novara in a preseason test match at the Opiquad Arena. The team demonstrated strong form ahead of their upcoming engagements, including a tournament in Courmayeur on September 20-21 and the Italian Super Cup Final in Rome on September 28.
Milano fielded a starting lineup featuring Orro, Egonu, Sylla, Daalderop, Kurtagic, Heyrman, and libero Gelin. After a closely contested start, Milano gained momentum with standout performances from Egonu and Sylla, securing set victories of 25-20, 25-19, and 25-20. Vero Volley Milano head coach Lavarini praised the team’s efforts, noting the match was a valuable opportunity to “break the ice” against a strong opponent and focus on refining their play ahead of the season.
