The semifinals of the 2024 Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship concluded with Iranian teams Shahdab Yazd and Foolad Sirjan advancing to the final, securing their spots in the 2024 World Club Championship.
In one semifinal, Shahdab Yazd dominated Pavlodar Volleyball Club from Kazakhstan with a 3-0 win (25-21, 25-20, 25-19). Meanwhile, Foolad Sirjan battled hard against Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi (Indonesia) in a five-set thriller, emerging victorious with a 3-2 win (25-22, 23-25, 22-25, 25-21, 16-14). The intense match featured remarkable performances by Esfandiar and Hajipour, who scored 25 and 24 points, respectively. Jean Patry led the match with an impressive 31 points, while Earvin Ngapeth contributed 16 points for Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi.
With their victories, Shahdab Yazd and Foolad Sirjan will now face off in an all-Iranian final on Sunday, September 15. Additionally, Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi and Pavlodar Volleyball Club will compete for third place.
