Trefl Gdańsk has strengthened its roster by signing experienced Dutch outside hitter Gijs Jorna on a one-year contract. Jorna brings a wealth of experience from various European leagues, including stints in the Netherlands, France, Belgium, and Romania, and has represented the Netherlands on the international stage.
Eager to start the season, Jorna is excited to compete in one of the world’s strongest leagues and aims to help Trefl Gdańsk achieve top objectives. Since arriving in early September, he has integrated quickly with the team, participating in training sessions and friendly matches.
Head coach Mariusz Sordyl praised the new addition: “Gijs brings calm to our defense and smart solutions in offense. He’s hardworking and fits well with the group.”
