In a match played in advance of Round 13 of Italy’s Serie A1, Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano cruised to a 3-0 victory over Bartoccini-Mc Restauri Perugia in an away game.
The match opened with Conegliano taking control early, winning the first set 25-14. Young star Merit Adigwe, filling in for usual starter Isabelle Haak, impressed with 5 points in the opening set, while Gabi Guimarães led the scoring with 6 points.
The second set saw Perugia fight back, jumping to an 8-2 lead, thanks to a strong performance from Anett Németh. However, Conegliano quickly regained their footing and closed out the set 25-17.
In the third set, Anett Németh continued to shine with a match-high 16 points, but it wasn’t enough to stop Conegliano, who sealed the match with a 25-21 win. Gabi was named MVP with 13 points, while Adigwe contributed 12 points.
