Exciting matches in the 25th round of Serie A1 Tigotà saw Perugia and Cuneo celebrate league survival, Roma overtake Firenze in the standings, and Milano triumph over Scandicci in a thrilling tie-break.
Perugia dominated Talmassons 3-0, securing their Serie A1 status with standout performances from Németh (19 points) and MVP Ricci. Roma clinched a important 3-1 win over Busto Arsizio, overtaking Firenze in the battle to avoid relegation, with Salas shining at 24 points.
Pinerolo stunned Chieri 3-1, though the latter secured a playoff derby against Novara. Meanwhile, Cuneo edged out Bergamo 3-2 to ensure survival, with Bjelica leading at 28 points. Novara also clinched a tie-break win over Vallefoglia, led by Mims and Aleksic (15 points each).
Milano vs. Scandicci delivered another five-set thriller, with Egonu’s 31 points and Milano’s strong blocking game sealing the 3-2 win. Scandicci, despite Antropova’s 20 points, fell short in the final moments.
