Sir Susa Vim Perugia earned a hard-fought 3-2 win over Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza in Game 2 of the SuperLega 3rd–4th place final, securing their place in the Champions League.
The match was a high-intensity contest marked by momentum shifts and missed opportunities. Piacenza had six match points but couldn’t convert, ultimately falling in a tense fifth set. Despite strong performances from Maar (21 points) and Romanò (19), errors at key moments proved costly.
Perugia’s consistent blocking (17 points) and composed play in crunch time were decisive. Yuki Ishikawa led the charge and was named MVP for his clutch performance, including three consecutive points in the tie-break.
