Verona Volley has officially announced arrival Micah Christenson, one of the world’s top volleyball setters, to its squad for the next three seasons. The 198 cm US setter, born in Honolulu in 1993, brings a wealth of international experience and championship pedigree to Rana Verona.
After successful spells in Italy with Civitanova and Modena—where he captured the league title, Coppa Italia, and Supercoppa—Christenson went on to take the helm at Zenit Kazan in Russia. A pillar of the U.S. national team, he boasts two Olympic bronzes and multiple golds from major global tournaments.
“I’m honored to wear the Rana Verona jersey,” Christenson said, praising the club’s vision and growth. Club president Stefano Fanini hailed the signing as a defining moment, calling Christenson’s arrival a powerful statement for the team’s future.
