The 2025–26 CredemBanca SuperLega season kicked off with pure excitement, and plenty of drama across Italy.

In Milan, Allianz Milano thrilled their home fans with a stunning 3–2 comeback win over Valsa Group Modena (23–25, 17–25, 25–22, 37–35, 15–11). After falling behind two sets, Milano turned the match around thanks to Reggers’ 28-point masterclass and relentless team spirit. The fourth set was unforgettable — a 47-minute battle ending 37–35 — before Milano sealed the victory in the tie-break.
Modena, led by Davyskiba (26 points) and Buchegger (17), dominated early but couldn’t maintain control as Milano’s energy surged late.
In Verona, Rana Verona opened their season in style with a 3–1 win over Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza (25–22, 16–25, 29–27, 25–20). MVP Keita fired 24 points, while setter Christenson delivered a key serving run to close the match. Despite strong efforts from Bovolenta (19) and Simon (16), Piacenza couldn’t keep up with Verona’s rhythm and home crowd momentum.
Meanwhile, Cucine Lube Civitanova began their campaign with a solid 3–1 victory against Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina (25–15, 25–16, 23–25, 25–23). Superstar Nikolov led the charge with 30 points, dominating from the net and the service line. Grottazzolina, playing without Petkovic, fought back bravely to take the third set but fell short in the fourth.
In Padova, Sonepar Padova edged MA Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo in another tight five-set thriller (26–24, 21–25, 25–22, 20–25, 15–13).
