In front of more than 4,300 passionate fans at the ChorusLife Arena, Prosecco Doc A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano secured a hard-fought 3–1 victory over Bergamo in the opening match of the 7th Round of Serie A1 Tigotà. Despite a dominant start by the home side, the reigning champions rallied with confidence, led by Gabi, who earned the MVP title, and Adigwe, the match’s top scorer with 21 points.

Bergamo, eager to bounce back from their previous loss against Vallefoglia, opened strongly. Driven by Kendall Kipp’s 20 points, the hosts took the first set 25–20, energizing the crowd. However, Conegliano’s coach Daniele Santarelli kept faith in his lineup, and the reigning champions slowly found their rhythm.

The second set marked a turning point — Adigwe’s key serves and blocks helped the “Panthers” take control, equalizing the match with a 25–21 win. From that point on, Conegliano’s momentum was unstoppable. They dominated the third set 25–12 and closed the match 25–18 in the fourth, capitalizing on Bergamo’s attacking errors and showcasing their trademark precision.

Gabi, once again proving her world-class form, delivered a complete performance with 14 points, while captain Joanna Wolosz orchestrated the offense efficiently. For Bergamo, Mlejnkova and Manfredini showed flashes of brilliance but struggled to maintain consistency against Conegliano’s relentless defense.

With this win, Conegliano climbs to the top of the Serie A1 standings, awaiting the Sunday clash between Novara and Scandicci to determine if they’ll remain alone in first place.
