There is only one conclusion. Modena‘s receivers couldn’t stop Trentino‘s bombers, especially their serves!

Since the beginning of the match, both sides showed some good volleyball moves and fully packed arena could really enjoy. At the result 13-13, Nemanja Petrić went to serve and thanks to his two amazing aces Modena got three points of advantage (16-13). A minute later, Ngapeth was the man who even increased the lead (18-14).

Home team somehow managed to score a point and then Filippo Lanza went to serve. He decided to hit Petrić two times and he made the right choice! The Serbian player couldn’t receive it and Trentino reduced the rival’s lead. The head coach of Modena Angelo Lorenzetti made a substitution (Petrić out, Kovačević in), but Lanza again made an ace and tied the score 19-19, after hitting another Serbian receiver who made a mistake.

It had boosted Trentino’s confidence who managed to continue scoring run and after Petric’s mistake to take two points lead 23-21! Luca Vettori’s aces gave some hopes to his team, but after making the mistake from the service line home team got the first set point. In next action, Đurić scored amazing point and gave his team 1-0 lead in sets!

In the second set, the home team continued with the strong serves! The receivers of Modena had a lot of problems with Kaziyski, Djurić and Lanza, who were constantly bombing from the service line!

At the result 24-20 for Trentino, home players thought that they finished the job but with three consecutive points, away side got an opportunity to tie the score.

Kaziyski even made mistake, Modena’s players started celebrating but referee gave a point to Trentino because one of the away players touched the net!

Modena opened the the third set with 6-3 lead but after Stoychev’s time out home team managed to tie the score and later even to take the lead 15-14.

Lorenzetti’s side managed to take the lead again (16-15) but Trentinos good serves gave them 21-19 lead. Away side tied the score again 21-21 but Djurić and Kaziyski were incredible and in the decisive moments scored very important points and had three match points.

This Italian league is too long, imagine if Perugia was in final, then Grbic would have seen his players (In Serbia national team whom he does not know some of them) for the first time in the plane flying to Brazil for the first world league match.
