AUS vs. ITA
During the first set, Italian players were sending bombs from the serving line! Santilli’s side couldn’t receive serves from the other side and this volleyball element made the difference between two teams.
In the second set, Italy continued with good attacks and defense but at the result 11:7, Australia suddenly woke up and managed to tie the score 11:11!
It didn’t last too long, because Blengini’s squad took control of the game again and quickly made a huge lead 22:16 and afterwads they increased the lead in sets, 2:0.
In seemed that Australia ran out of ideas in the third set. Santilli gave a chance to the reserve players but it didn’t help! Italy simply was better and cinched another victory.
The most impressive player was setter Simone Gianneli, who scored four aces as well.
