Conegliano
In front of packed stands in “Palaverde” arena (more than 5,000 spectators), Conegliano downed Italian champions.
Among those 5,000 spectators was one of the best players of Conegliano from previous season, Alisha Glass. The American setter returned to the club a day before the match and it is expected to join her teammates soon.
In a match full of turnarounds, USA’s duo led the scorers of Conegliano – Megan Easy (ex-Hodge) 24 points and Kelsey Robinson 18. German Margareta Kozuch scored 24 points in Casalmaggiore, while Valentina Tirozzi added 13.

Another league’s rookies, Südtirol Bolzano, were successful. They defeated Il Bisonte Florence 3-1 (20-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-22) thanks to Latin duo – Dominican Brayelin Martínez 22 points and Marianne Steinbrecher “Mari” 21.
