From the start of the season it was visible that Pomì Casalmaggiore will have a tough job to defend title in Italy. After third defeat, it will be even harder.

Casalmaggiore showed too many weaknesses in Round 10 and allowed Savino Del Bene Scandicci to return into match after trailing 2-0  and to make turnaround 3-2 (25-27, 23-25, 25-14, 27-25, 15-7).

Igor Gorgonzola Novara took advantage of Casalmaggiore’s failure and overtook them in the standings with a three-pointer against Unendo Yamamay Busto Arsizio 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-17). Croatian Samanta Fabris was brilliant with 20 points.

The star of the night was Dutch Celeste Plak who scored 27 points in Foppapedretti Bergamo’s 3-1 win over hosts, Metalleghe Sanitars Montichiari.
