The Italian powerhouse had to save a match-point in the clash against Padova at 13:14 in the tie-break, while then they managed to turn things around and to close the 5th set by 17:15. Still, they lost one point in the race for the top spot…
“We knew it would be a complicated game” said Osmany Juantorena after the match. “This tie-breaker should not surprise anyone. Padova play very good volleyball, they defend well and this time they have almost stopped our winning streak. As far as i am concenrned, we did not lose one point… We won two points! Now we look at the upcoming clash against Perugia,” concluded Cuban player.
