Trentino coach Angelo Lorenzetti and Monza coach Miguel Ángel Falasca have all players at the disposal for Game 2 of the quarterfinals of the playoffs. Monza want to return series to Trento but tradition is not on their side as they lost all four matches against today’s rivals, taking only two sets.
LPR Piacenza coach Alberto Giuliani has three doubts before the second game of the series against Sir Safety Perugia (0-1). Cuban Raydel Hierrezuelo has inflammation of the hamstring tendon, while his compatriot Leonel Marshall suffers from clavicle pain. Also, Simone Parodi has a muscle problem in his left arm. Piacenza hoping to recover all three, while Giuliani considers option to once again use Parodi as second libero.
Perugia coach Lorenzo Bernardi still cannot count on Serbian setter Mihajlo Mitić, who suffers from muscular problem, but all the other players are available to play for Italian runners-up.
Lube Civitanova are chasing 2-0 win in series with Vibo Valentia, but this time with German receiver Denis Kaliberda in the squad, who recovered from gluteal strain that sidelined him from 2017 CEV Champions League game vs. Berlin Recycling Volleys and Game 1 of the playoff quarter-finals.
Vibo are hoping to level and extend the series to three games. It will be highly difficult for Waldo Kantor’s side because they are still deprived of help from French receiver Baptiste Geiler, who left the floor in pain in the last round of Regular Season. Brazilian Thiago Alves will take his place in the line-up.
