Since the end of a summer transfer window in Italy came to an end, many clubs reached for a bit forced solutions to fill gaps in the squad for 2017/18.

Men’s volleyball Serie A1 club LPR Piacenza decided to list 19-year-old libero, who has zero experience in top division, to their roster for the next season.

Ludovico Giuliani, the son of current Piacenza head coach Alberto Giuliani, reinforced the club and is projected to backup veteran Loris Manià.

Giuliani, who learned his first volleyball moves in youth categories of Calzedonia Verona and Cucine Lube Civitanova, came to Piacenza from regional championship (Serie D) where he performed for SIOS San Severino. Interestingly, Giuliani played as receiver there, not as libero.

He also competes in the U21 national championship in beach volleyball.

A minor role from daddys son, he must be a averege player and i think he would prefer to play as receiver but people can get offended if coach gives 4 receiver position to his boy, if he were a super talent which is not obviusly with that age nobody wouild argue but if he is the second libero everyone is fine with that. learn something kid
