One player, no matter how good he is, does not make the team. That is why Gi Group Monza management considers hiring several more volleyball stars in addition to their main goal when it comes to the transfer activity for the next season – Ivan Zaytsev!

It is certain that Italian superstar Ivan Zaytsev will leave Sir Safety Conad Perugia at the end of the season. Of course, for a player with such an impressive résumé, there will be many clubs interested to engage him. One club already started to negotiate with him. But, another one waits in line – Monza.

According to Gian Luca Pasini, the management of SuperLega UnipolSai members is ready to conduct a complete renovation of the roster in order to show Zaytsev they mean business next season.

So this is, allegedly, an idea from Monza: they aim coach Alberto Giuliani, who still has one more year of his contract with Wixo LPR Piacenza, French outside hitter Trévor Clévenot and setter Michele Baranowicz from the same team, and U.S. libero Erik Shoji from Taiwan Excellence Latina.

As for Clévenot, there is one more club, with a much bigger reputation than Monza’s, also considering to sign him.
