Bartosz Kurek’s outstanding performance helped the Nagoya Wolfdogs secure the Japanese VLeague title.
The team snatched the title away from the Santory Sunbirds, led by Dmitriy Muserskiy, who had won it for two consecutive seasons. In the final showdown, Nagoya triumphed over Santory with a 3-0 straight set win (25-23, 25-18, 28-26), with Kurek scoring an impressive 32 points. On losing side Muserskiy was the Santory top scorer with 22 points.
