The Suntory Sunbirds Osaka have done it again! They clinched their 11th national title and became the first-ever champions of Japan’s revamped Daido Life SV.League, sweeping JTEKT Stings Aichi in straight sets (29-27, 25-16, 25-22) at the packed LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY.
Backed by nearly 10,000 fans, the Sunbirds rode the momentum from Saturday’s comeback win to wrap up the best-of-three series. Dmitriy Muserskiy led the charge with 21 points, while Ran Takahashi and Alain De Armas added 18 and 10 respectively.
