Mexico and Puerto Rico are the last semifinalists of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games of Barranquilla.

So, in the semifinal matches, Mexico will face Colombia while Puerto Rico will play against the Dominican Republic

In the quarterfinal, Samantha Bricio with 27 points led Mexico against Trinidad and Tobago 3-1 (20-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-17) and definitely she was Mexico’s key player in this victory. Mexico finished with 6 aces, all by Bricio’s power at the service line. Andrea Rangel joining her with 17 points.

Krystle Esdelle with 15 points, followed by Channon Thompson and Sinead Jack with 13 points each, was the best scorer in the defeating team.

In the second quarterfinal match, Puerto Rico defeated Venezuela with 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-16) thanks to Noami Santos Lamb who scored 14 points.
