Puerto Rican is the new leader in spikes percentage. Player of Indias de Mayaguez is only 43 points shy of the league’s all-time scoring record. She is tied with Rangel with 286 spikes but has a better average per set with 4.03 to 3.67.
With 301 points, good for the fourth place among the scoring leaders, Alvarez is the best Puerto Rican in that category.
