PAC 2017 W: Puerto Rico and Peru the last semifinalists

Domestic team Peru and Puerto Rico have reached semifinals after they defeated Argentina and Cuba at the XVI Women’s Volleyball Pan American Cup.

While Puerto Rico had an easier effortless against Cuba, Peru played five sets against Argentina.

Puerto Rico outplayed Cuba in a straight sets 25-23, 25-22, 25-17 and Daly Santana was the top scorer of the match with 20 points.

In the semifinal, they will face defending champions Dominican Republic.

On the other side, Peru finished their match in a tie-break against Argentina 20-25, 25-21, 20-25, 25-19, 15-9.

They earned a semifinal spot against USA who are undefeated winners in Pool A.

Leyva was the leader of Peru with 14 points.
