The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation have confirmed the new head coach of the men’s senior team.

Silvano Prandi

Silvano Prandi

It’s Silvano Prandi, the experienced 71-year old Italian coach. He has signed a contract until 2020. If he reaches the Olympic Games, the contract will be automatically extended.

It’s a great pleasure and honor for me to return to the Bulgarian team, which brought me a lot of positive memories and I am very enthusiastic about the Olympic qualification and as well for the European Championship. A fact is that the road to Tokyo will be very difficult but I believe this goal can be achieved,” says Prandi.

Prandi is the head coach of Chaumont and eight years ago he was the head coach of the Bulgarian men’s national team.
