Silvano Prandi, who recently returned to the head coach position in Bulgaria national team after nine years, revealed at a press conference regarding the upcoming international season that one big star will definitely be missing from the roster – Matey Kaziyski.
“It may be said that I devoted a certain amount of time to study the possibility and to try to bring Matey Kaziyski back to the national team. I have to admit that I initially found benevolence on his part in conducting such a conversation because of his attitude towards me. But after nearly two months in which there were many comments, expectations, and so on, his final answer was ‘NO’! Due to his personal motives, he doesn’t feel ready to be available to the national team. Naturally, by the deadline when we have to send the final list of players for the Nations League, there is some chance of changing his mind, but only in theory. Surely I will have another conversation with him… That’s because I think it will be a plus for the volleyball player of his caliber and his class to appear on the stage of the highest level,” Prandi said.
Recall that two months ago Kaziyski expressed a desire to return to the national team but obviously he changed his mind in the meantime.
