By beating the last-placed CS Dinamo București by a 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-20) in the penultimate round of the Top 6, CSM Volei Alba Blaj mathematically secured the top spot in the 2018/19 Campionatul National Divizia A1 feminin and won the title.

CSM Volei Alba Blaj scored two victories in only two days in the Top 6 but a defeat of the second-placed and also last season’s titleholders CSM București, which they suffered to CSM Târgoviște two days ago (3-1), made their way to clinching the championship much easier. Thus, despite still having to play a home match against CSM Lugoj on May 8, the six-point difference compared to CSM București (69 – 63) who also need to play one more game, guarantees CSM Volei Alba Blaj a title.

Three CSM Volei Alba Blaj players shared the so-called best scorer’s title in the match worth a title against CS Dinamo București, each notching 12 points: Serbian Maja Aleksić (5 kill blocks), Ramona Rus (4 aces), and Azerbaijani Katerina Zhidkova.
