QAT M: Sam Deroo in Al Rayyan SC, Emir Cup semifinals starts tomorrow!

The 2019. Men’s Volleyball Emir Cup has entered in final phase and as in previous years, teams competing in the tournament hired several big volleyball names.

As the last signing for this tournament, Sam Deroo signed for Al Rayyan SC, (came from Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle, POL). With this reinforcement Al Rayyan SC remain as one of the main candidates for winning Emir Cup.

Matey Kaziyski, (Verona, ITA) and Toncek Stern, (Top Volley Latina, ITA), are playing for Al Arabi SC.

Evandro Guerra, (Sada Cruzeiro, BRA) and Vilner Rivas, VEN are members of Police SC.


Sam Deroo, (Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle, POL),  and Kamil Rychlicki, (Consar Ravenna, ITA), signed for Al Rayyan SC.

Rafael Araujo opposite from Brazil, (this season he was member of ONICO Warszawa, POL and Al Arabi SC, QAT) and Bartlomiej Lipinski, (Chemik Bydgoszcz, POL) are current members of Al Ahli SC.

Al Arabi SC – Matey Kaziyski, BUL and Toncek Stern, SLO

Police SC – Evandro Guerra, BRA and Willner Rivas, VEN

Al Rayyan SC – Sam Deroo, BEL and Kamil Rychlicki, LUX

Al Ahli SC – Rafael Araujo, BRA and Bartlomiej Lipinski, POL

QVA league champions, Police SC, will face Al Ahli SC in the first semifinal match while the Qatar Cup winners, Al Rayyan SC will play against Al Arabi SC in the second semifinal. The teams will play each other in a format  “best of three”, with the winners clashing in the finals. 

The first semifinal matches are scheduled for tomorrow May 8, 2019. and final match is scheduled for May 17, 2019.
