Titleholders Cheonan Hyundai Capital Skywalkers came back from a 2-set deficit against Daejeon Samsung Fire Bluefangs to record their second win (3 defeats) in the 2019/20 Dodram V-League regular season: 3-2 (23-25, 22-25, 25 -23, 26-24, 15-10). This match is called a “classic” of the Korean male volleyball knowing that these two sides faced each other for the championship title on seven occasions and have the most V-League trophies on their accounts: the Bluefangs 8, the Skywalkers 4.

The encounter was marked with an amazing team’s blocking display of the winning side who came to one block short of tying the V-League record of 24 kill blocks. Interestingly, the Skywalkers were the team to set this record. It was in the season 2007/08 and they did it exactly against Bluefangs.

Both teams played today’s match without imports as both were injured: Cuban Hernández for the Skywalkers and Italian Santangelo for the Bluefangs. Moon Sung-Min top-scored for the champions with 27 points, while Choi Min-Ho set up 6 kill blocks. As for the Bluefangs, Park Chul-Woo poured in 30 points.
