The six-time champions Red Rockets lost the third match in a row in the 2019/20 V.League Division 1 Women regular season. Azerbaijani outside hitter Jana Kulan was the main executioner in the last of those three defeats as she poured in 22 points for Toray Arrows and was named MVP of the match. Her team won the encounter in straight sets, partially 25-21, 25-22, and 25-21. With this victory, Toray moved up to second place in the standings of the Star Conference, having 10-4 and 30 points.
The five-game winning streak of Saitama Ageo Medics came to an end as they succumbed to Okayama Seagulls in four sets. JT Marvelous swept Hitachi Rivale to extend their victorious run to four games and stay at the top of the Star Conference with 12-3 and 34 points. Denso Airybees narrowly avoided an upset from PFU Blue Cats and remained in the first place in the Premiere Conference, having 11-2 and 31 points.
