JPN W: Despite excellent display of Kulan, Toray fall to Airybees

Despite an excellent display of Jana Kulan, the Toray Arrows have fallen to the Denso Airybees in Round 16 of the 2019/20 Japanese Women’s Volleyball Championship regular season.

Toray, the second-placed team in the Star Conference have fallen to the leaders of the Premier Conference, the Airybees, despite having the lead in sets of 2-1 and noticeable scoring output of Kulan. The Azerbaijani international tallied 30 points, while Kaho Ōno made 5 kill blocks. Minami Nakamoto scored 24 points for the winning aide who is at 12-2 and 33 points.

The only team with a better score at the moment in the league than the Airybees is JT Marvelous. After beating Victorina Himeji in straight sets, the Nishinomiya based side reached the fifth win in a row and now have 13-3 and 37 points, which kept them at the top of the Star Conference.
