CHN M: Shandong still invincible, first win of Beijing in quarterfinal stage

Shandong kept their invincibility in the 2019/20 Chinese men’s volleyball Championship.

After having a perfect record in the regular season (2-0), Shandong are keeping the momentum in the quarterfinals stage.

They were heavily challenged by Zhejiang in Round 5 (Round 2 of the quarterfinals). Shandong were two times behind rivals in sets but managed to prevail in the tie-break: 3-2 (20-25, 25-21, 21-25, 27-25, 15-10). They remained at the top of Pool F with 2-0 and 5 points. Zhai Dejun notched 19 points against Zhejiang, while Liu Meng made 4 kill blocks.

In the same pool, the vice-champions Beijing recorded their first win in the quarterfinal stage as they swept Fujian.
