The national champions Neftochimic beat the Cup winners Hebar with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-20) and won the Super Cup of Bulgaria (Superkupa) in men’s volleyball. The match was played at the Hristo Botev hall in the country’s capital of Sofia. This was also the first volleyball match in front of spectators after the Bulgarian government lifted the ban on their presence at the level of all sports across the country. The attendance in today’s encounter was 500 spectators.
The Burgas team took revenge for losing a duel from the same opponents for the trophy in the competition last season and won their fourth Super Cup. The Neftochimic outside hitter, and experienced Valentin Bratoev, was named MVP of the match.
2020 Superkupa, men:
Hebar – Neftochimic 2010 0-3 (22-25, 23-25, 20-25)
