The Japanese youngster Yuji Nishida once again shone in the country’s 2020/21 men’s volleyball Championship.

A 20-year-old Nishida had two brutal performances in just two days of the 2020/21 V.League Division 1 Men regular season.

Today, in Round 2, he poured in 42 points (including 5 blocks) for the champions JTEKT Stings against Toray Arrows. Thus, Nishida upgraded yesterday’s notable display against the same rivals.

Interestingly, all face-offs from Round 1 were repeated in Round 2 and the same clubs that won yesterday have prevailed today as well, including the vice-champions Panasonic Panthers. Led in scoring by Kunihiro Shimizu (21 points, including 4 blocks) and in blocking by Yuichiro Komiya (5 blocks), they beat FC Tokyo in four sets.
